The 8th Commandment of God commands mankind to speak Truth and not bear false witness. We must not lie. Without obedience to this Commandment, society will not function and will quickly devolve into chaos.
So imagine: You are a Christian teacher in a public school teaching French II. One of your female students decides she is now a ‘he-him-his’ and you are directed to address her as such.
According to press reports, that’s the situation Peter Vlaming was put into, and while he accommodated the student by using her new, traditionally masculine name, in good conscience and truth he refused to address her as ‘he-him-his’ – and therefore, married with four children, lost his job and livelihood.
